One of the most intriguing collections in the pipeline for release later this year is a tribute to Hank Williams. The project features some stellar stars doing tracks inspired by ideas and lyrics left behind by the hugely popular country artist who died at only 29 (2 years older than is stylish for tragi-music deaths) in 1953.
The album will feature the likes of Jack White, Bob Dylan, Patty Loveless, Lucinda Williams and Norah Jones.
The Lost Notebooks of Hank Williams will be released on October 4th with the usual paraphernalia and in this case a booklet explaining how the songs came about.
